A Community Contributor is someone who lives in or near Philadelphia and is heavily involved with the local content we publish. Each contributor should have a sincere interest and professional-level knowledge of at least one of the following topics: food & beverage, art, local culture, history, and music. Ideally, our contributors are well-written, creative, naturally curious, and can pitch stories and events worth telling. In addition, contributors should also be devoted to maintaining a general awareness and sharing events and new developments. PhillyDoes also curates guides and content that ask the opinions of our Community Contributors, making involvement both fun and simple.

What We Offer
As a modest publication in its infancy, we cannot offer paid positions. Not yet, anyway. What we can offer–and are extremely proud to offer–is a platform with a profile and attribution, reciprocated time and energy, plus a few perks. Perks, you ask? Yes, perks. First, if selected as a Community Contributor, we will provide you with a welcome bundle: a PhillyDoes t-shirt, digital business card, and sticker pack. Second, we offer community–real community. We ask everyone on board to be a resource for the collective. We will host a minimum of two events each year that you can attend free of charge. Not only can you attend these events for free, but you will also have input on the logistics: venue, theme, attendees/guestlist, etc. As paid opportunities arise, we will look to our Community Contributors first.
